Hooooly its been almost a month since I updated this! I really have been so busy though, which is a sharp contrast to the first half of my summer where all i did was hang out. I have lots more alternative artists to post, but I'm going to do something different and show you one of my fashion idols. There arent many of them because I dont care too much for fashion, but one of the few who inspires me is Leigh Lezark
The Misshapes book is definatly inspiring for me. Its a ton of portraits of NYC clubgoers that ranges from '02-'07. Its full of amazing fashion from underage punk kids to celebrities and models.
I really need to get back into planning photoshoots. I did a few earlier this summer and then....stopped. This always happens to me during the summer! Right now its understandable because I actually have a job now and booking bands has consumed a good majority of my time. I really hope balancing the two wont be too difficult in the fall because I want to improve in both my art and music careers. By this I mean being both a photographer and doing booking. I do have some sick ideas though. Also I need models. Its hard for me to find people who I really like as models and when I find them I tend to overuse them. Last year my teacher told us we should start paying our models and quit using our friends if we want to be professionals. I must say I agree but I dont agree enough to actually pay anyone. I think it may be best if I get over my fear of stranger danger on the internet and work with some of those "time for prints" models one often comes across. You know the ones. I am open minded towards these "tfp" or "t4p" as they are commonly reffered. Hahahaha.
This blog is mostly just for me to post art/photos/music I like. Mostly art though. And sometimes pessimistic ramblings.
My interests include,
Beer, Coffee and Music.
But also buying magazines, vintage shopping, photography, buying more art than I have room for, going to more shows than I have money for, renting movies, etc.
